Frequently Asked Questions about our Running Assessments
How are the new running assessments different from your previous offering?
Our running assessments still include a thorough subjective history to understand your current situation, injury history and running goals, high-definition video gait analysis, and expert advice on running injury prevention and performance such as running technique, gait modifications, training programming, rehab exercises or drills to work on, and footwear advice.
Using Runeasi technology, we are now also able to quantify loading and impact forces, using a wearable belt that contains an inertial measurement unit. The Runeasi technology also provides us with an easy to read PDF report containing key metrics (impact forces, stability, and symmetry) and our clinical recommendations will be tailored to your results!
Are running assessments covered by extended health benefits?
Yes, our physiotherapy running assessments are covered by most extended health benefit plans! Please note that some insurance plans have a maximum amount eligible for reimbursement. If you’re not sure, we recommend asking your individual insurance provider about your personal coverage details.
What is the cost of the running assessment?
Our new running assessments using the Runeasi technology are $249. This includes high-definition videos, a Runeasi report, and our clinical recommendations emailed to you.
Who should get a running assessment?
Any runner, new or experienced, who wants to address injuries and/or improve performance will benefit from a running assessment.
If I’ve had a running assessment before, should I get another one?
This is totally up to you! If you’re happy with your current running, that’s great. Our running assessment is valuable for anybody who wants to run with less pain and/or increase performance. If you’re intrigued by the new objective metrics we can obtain through Runeasi technology, we have a special promotion for you - see below.
