Running Assessments and Injury management

Running Assessments

A person is recording a person walking on a treadmill with a tablet, with the treadmill and a blue wall in the background.

Running assessments last one hour and include a thorough interview on your history and running/health goals, high-definition video recordings of your gait analysis, and science-based advice on running technique, training, exercises, and footwear. It also includes personalized advice and gait analysis videos with comments emailed directly to you.

You may benefit from a running assessment if you are:

  • New to running

  • Dealing with an injury or have a history of getting running injuries

  • A runner or triathlete who wants to perform better

  • Returning to running after a long break

  • Pregnant or returning to running post-partum

  • A master’s runner dealing with joint pain or osteoarthritis

Running Injury Management

If you’re an injured runner, you’ve come to the right place!

All of our physiotherapists have taken extra training in (and even teach!) an evidence-based approach to assessing and treating runners. In collaboration with The Running Clinic and different universities, our clinic also actively participates in conducting running injury research.

At MoveMed Physio, you can expect a comprehensive approach to treating running injuries. We take the time to get a thorough understanding of your injury and running history. After an initial assessment, we will create a personalized treatment plan that you feel confident in!
